ABOUT MVC

Who We Are

Mountain View Chapel is a church family that is excited about people seeking God. We believe that God’s Spirit is at work in this world drawing people to Himself. It is a privilege to share the truth of Jesus of Nazareth as revealed in the Bible with anyone interested. We are a forgiven group of people learning to walk in the transformation of forgiveness through our Lord Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. Father God has a path of grace through faith for anyone who would believe. One of our greatest joys is to see someone enter into an eternal relationship with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We are striving to live out the teachings of Christ Jesus recorded in Matthew 22. We are learning to love God with all of our hearts, minds, and souls because He first loved us. We are also learning to love others with an enlarged capacity for love. This love relationship compels us to serve God by serving others. We are a family that is committed to learning, growing, and changing until we are united with Messiah, our Lord and Savior.
  • Sunday Worship
We are one church family meeting in multiple locations:
    • Renback Barn Campus – 8:30 AM & 10:30 AM
    • Good Hope Campus – 9:30 AM (Starting October 19th, 2025!)

  • MVC Family Gatherings
Multiple times a year, we come together as one family to worship at the Young Farmers' Pavilion, celebrate Baptisms, and share Communion.

  • Shared Missional Life
There are many ways to serve, grow, and live out Christ’s love as part of the MVC Family! We host various studies and support groups such as Bible, financial, marriage, parenting, men, women, couples, moms, children, and more, through small group settings.

Prayer teams (men & women), VBS, family movie nights, service teams, work days, community service, mission teams, outreach teams, HOPE ministries, MESA, set up/take down teams, security, maintenance, women’s events, and men’s activities, are a few examples of other opportunities available to followship and serve with other believers.

Our pursuit is based on faith, hope, and love that create a vitality for life & living.

Core Beliefs

  • The Bible, God’s Holy Word, is infallible, completely inspired by the Holy Spirit, and without error.
  • God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit comprise the trinity. One sovereign God that eternally exists in three persons.
  • Adam and Eve were created by God. They rebelled against God’s plan and so incurred both physical and spiritual death that has been passed through the generations through a sinful nature that must be redeemed.
  • Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, existed without sin, was crucified, buried, resurrected on the third day, and ascended into heaven as part of God’s plan for the redemption of mankind.
  • Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. Our Lord responds to repentance with forgiveness and thus the repentant person becomes a new creation in God. All the fullness of God is now available to this once fallen creature.
  • The Church is the body of Christ as well as His bride. The Church is both local and universal in nature. The work of the Church is wide and complex but with a simple mandate to glorify God through spreading the gospel and making disciples. Baptism and the Lord’s supper are the two ordinances to guard and guide with this process.
  • The Lord will return to earth and each believer is to eagerly look for and anticipate His return.
  • God will resurrect the bodies of the just as well as the unjust. The final accounting will result in everlasting punishment for the lost and everlasting blessedness for the redeemed.
