Madison Day 2026

Welcome to Madison Day 2026

Mountain View Chapel has been involved with Madison Day since 2019. Here's our history:

In 2019, a vision began to take shape in Madison County. With leadership and heart from Karen Coppage, what started as an idea became Madison Day. From the very beginning, our church family at Mountain View Chapel was grateful to support Karen behind the scenes as she built Madison Day from the ground up. It was a community effort that came from the desire to care for our neighbors in practical ways.

Each spring, Madison Day brings together individuals, local businesses, churches, and volunteers to serve throughout Madison County. From yard work to small home repairs and other hands-on projects, the goal has always been to offer meaningful help to those who need it.

For us, being part of Madison Day has never been about recognition. It has been about partnership, prayer, and stepping in wherever needed to help the vision move forward. Watching this day grow year after year has been deeply meaningful. We have seen families serve together and neighbors experience encouragement through simple acts of kindness.

We are thankful to have walked alongside this effort from the beginning, and we look forward to continuing to support Madison Day as it blesses Madison County for years to come.

How You Can Get Involved

1

Volunteer

Serving is one of the most meaningful ways to be involved. When you register, you will have the opportunity to sign up for a variety of categories based on your skills, interests, and availability:

Feeding, Construction, Food Delivery, Material Runner, Admin and Logistics (set-up, take-down, phones, coordination, and support roles), or Wherever Needed

If you have experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, landscaping, painting, or general home repair, your skills can make a difference. But this is not the only way you can serve! We appreciate volunteers of all experience and walks of life to make a difference, no matter what community you're from!

There is also space on the registration form to note any limitations you may have. Madison Day works to place volunteers in roles where they can serve effectively and safely.

Every role matters. When each person brings what they can, the impact multiplies across our community.

2

Spread The Word

Madison Day grows stronger when more people get involved. We've had volunteers come from all over Virginia! You can help by inviting friends, encouraging your workplace to participate, or gathering a group to serve together.

On the volunteer registration form, there is an option to include a “Team/Group Name.” This is designed for businesses, churches, small groups, families, or any collection of people who would like to serve side by side as a team.

When your team leader has chosen a team/group name, you can sign under this to be kept together. Your team leader will communicate with Madison Day and sign up for a specific work site based on your group’s skills and capacity.

3

Donate

Practical service requires practical resources. Donations of supplies such as lumber, paint, tools, landscaping materials, and safety equipment help ensure projects can be completed well and safely.

Financial contributions also allow organizers to purchase needed materials, respond to unexpected needs, and serve more families. Every gift, whether large or small, supports the work happening throughout Madison County.
